Find academic support
Do you feel unprepared to write essays or want to learn more about referencing?
UC's Te Pokapū Pūkenga Ako | Academic Skills Centre (ASC) is a free advisory service and resource hub that focuses on writing and study strategies to maximise student achievement at all levels. You can find online resources on critical thinking and writing in the university context — everything from the correct use of semi-colons to creating a citations list, to subject-specific styles of discourse.
Tuihono UC also provides learning support via our tailored introduction to learning course, orientation sessions, and targeted resources for our learners - access these through the UC Online learning platform.
If you have been out of study for a while, you can sign up to our Academic Writing Basics short course before your qualification begins.
