Online learning tips

Hop into Easter and maximise your break

Here's everything you need to know about our easter break - including how to make the most of your time while we're offline!

Maximise your Easter break for online study success

Easter is almost upon us, and for many that means a few days off mahi or school, with some chocolate or hot cross buns thrown in.

Our Tuihono UC | UC Online team will also be on break, with our course facilitators, online learning advisors, and enrolment advisor offline from Friday 29 March, and unavailable to answer your messages until they return on Wednesday, 3 April.

Our team will be offline - but your study won't be

While our team will be offline, we know that it's a busy time for many of our learners, finishing their final coursework and assignments. Don't worry - our learning platform will be open for you, 24/7 as usual, if you need to get stuck into your study.

Our online learning advisors have also prepared some quick tips for you to make the most of your Easter break!

Tips to maximise your Easter break to set yourself up for the final weeks of this term

  • Start by planning out your study time, so you can focus over the break and achieve what you want.

  • That includes scheduling in some time to be with your friends and whānau. It's important to have some sort of a break from study - and having a good plan will help fit this in.

  • Consider your next steps - if you're enrolled into a programme, what course is next? If your short course or micro-credential is coming to an end, what would you like to learn next? If you're not enrolled for term 2, enrolments close in early April - so Easter is a great time to check out our other learning options

Key dates for your diary:

  • Easter Friday - 29 March
  • Easter Monday - 1 April
  • University holiday - 2 April (our team will be offline)

We hope you have a very hoppy easter!
