About Tuihono UC Learner Support Programmes Payment and Fees Technical Support Industry International Withdrawal and Changes
Your bank might charge currency transfer fees.
You can pay with your credit or debit card. We accept Visa and Mastercard, but not AMEX.
For our programmes, you may be eligible for a StudyLink loan for fees or FeesFree assistance - both of these options need to be arranged by you directly, via StudyLink of FeesFree. Check eligibility at feesfree.govt.nz and StudyLink.
Enrolment Agreements must be accepted in the myUCO portal by the official course start date to avoid a late enrolment fee of $150. More information can be found here.
Courses and micro-credentials
If you've enrolled for a short course or micro-credential and your circumstances change, you'll be eligible for a refund up until the 7th day of the course.
After this date, refunds will be available if your circumstances are exceptional, for example if you've experienced a serious medical event.
The last date to withdraw from your micro-credential will have been posted to your course page. Please check the course announcement for Key Dates, or contact your Learner Experience Advisor.
Programmes
You can withdraw and get a full refund if you notify us up until the 13th day of each course in the programme. The last date to withdraw from a programme is the 7th Sunday after the start date of each course in the programme.

To withdraw from a course:
- Go to your profile page in the UC Online learning area.
- Go to the withdrawal area.
- Fill in the withdrawal form.
To request a refund, you'll need to follow the withdrawal process.

If you’re based in New Zealand while you study, your fees will include GST.
If you’re based anywhere else in the world, your fees will exclude GST.
UC reserves the right to charge any additional taxes payable in New Zealand or in the country of study (if required) by any relevant legislation.
Make sure you let us know if you move back to New Zealand during your study.
You cannot use a StudyLink student loan to pay your short course or micro-credential fees.
You may be able to use a StudyLink student loan to pay for your programme fees and for course-related costs – this must be arranged by you directly with StudyLink. Check your eligibility with StudyLink.
